A Major Milestone

We’re just days away from closing the books on 2011, and a critical fundraising deadline is looming at the end of the week.

My staff has run the numbers, and we’re projected to come up just $13,700 short of a major fundraising milestone. Please click here make a contribution right now – any amount, even $25, $50 or $100, will help get us across the finish line.

December 31^st is the last day of the 2011 fundraising period, and it’s the last major deadline before candidates must file nominating petitions to appear on the ballot. Any potential Democratic challengers will be looking at our success this quarter to gauge the level of support for my reelection.

Washington Democrats such as Nancy Pelosi and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz will use this fundraising report to decide how much time and money to devote to attacking me next year.We’re just $13,700 short of a major milestone that will show Washington Democrats just how serious we are about defending this seat.

Pennsylvania will be ground zero for the 2012 campaign, and the 7^th Congressional District is one of the most competitive in the state. President Obama has visited Pennsylvania 8 times this year alone, and just a few weeks ago Vice President Biden was right here in the 7^th District. They know they won’t win the Presidency without winning Pennsylvania, and they won’t win Pennsylvania without winning the Philadelphia suburbs. Congressional Democrats have made the 7^th District a centerpiece of their efforts to return the Speaker’s Gavel to Nancy Pelosi.

Help me stop them.

We still have a lot of work to do to cut spending, balance our budget, and grow our economy. But if the Democrats retake the House next year, all the work my House colleagues and I have done will be overturned.
