Meehan Seeks Input from American Job Creators
April 28th
SPRINGFIELD, PA – U.S. Congressman Patrick Meehan (PA-07), member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, today released a new video announcing www.AmericanJobCreators.com, a website dedicated to listening to the personal stories of constituents, Pennsylvanians and nationwide job creators about how government is impacting job creation.
“As I travel around the district talking with constituents, one of the most common things I hear about is burdensome government regulations that are standing in the way of business growth and job creation,” said Congressman Meehan. “AmericanJobCreators.com, launched by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, is a unique opportunity for job creators in the 7thDistrict to describe how government impacts their business. I believe taxpayers deserve a government that understands its impact on job creators before it regulates – creating a more efficient and effective government. I intend to do all that I can to ensure we make it easier for businesses to grow and create jobs, resulting in a thriving economy in the 7th District.”
Businesses and employees in the 7th District are asked to visit www.AmericanJobCreators.com where they can complete a form and identify federal government regulations that impede the growth and success of their business.
Throughout the coming months, Congressman Meehan will continue visiting regional employers to talk about job creation. Additionally, Congressman Meehan will use the information gained through AmericanJobCreators.com to guide the work of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, which is responsible for effective oversight over the federal government and will work proactively to achieve greater accountability among federal agencies.
