Pat Meehan Wins First Debate
Meehan Demonstrates a Command of Issues While Lentz Only Rehashes Tired Pelosi Attacks
August 19th
DREXEL HILL, PA - Pat Meehan, the Republican candidate for Congress in Pennsylvania's 7th District, today met his opponent, Bryan Lentz, for their first debate to discuss issues affecting voters within the 7th Congressional District.
Following the debate, Meehan campaign manager Bryan Kendro issued the following statement:
"Today's debate illustrated two things very clearly. Bryan Lentz can ably rehash the tired attacks and talking points of Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, while Pat Meehan commands a strong understanding of the issues important to voters in the 7th District."
"Not only did Lentz show just how out of touch he is with our region's economic challenges by calling for a tax increase on those who create economic opportunities, he also made false, empty attacks about Pat Meehan's position on entitlement reform. Today's debate just reinforced what we already knew -- the voters of the 7th District can't afford Bryan Lentz," Kendro concluded.
Be sure to catch the debate this Sunday at 9:30 PM on "Voice of Reason" with host Larry Kane on the Comcast Network.
