Pennsylvania State Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police Endorses Meehan for Congress

MEDIA, PA – The Pennsylvania State Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police today endorsed Pat Meehan for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District.

“As a former United States Attorney and Delaware County District Attorney, Pat Meehan has proven his commitment to the citizens of his state and his community,” said Les Neri, President of the Pennsylvania State Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police. “Pat brought his experience working with law enforcement personnel to Congress, where he’s been a tireless voice in support of police officers and their families. We support him with great pride.”

The Pennsylvania State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police represents over 40,000 law enforcement officers across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

“Police officers in Delaware County know Pat Meehan has their backs in Washington,” said Joe Fitzgerald, President of the Delaware County Fraternal Order of Police. “Pat worked side-by-side with law enforcement here in Delaware County to fight violent crime and protect our communities. He truly understands the challenges facing law enforcement personnel today.”

Today’s endorsement was announced on the steps of the Delaware County Courthouse in Media, where Congressman Meehan formerly served as District Attorney.

“I’m proud to have the support of the Pennsylvania State Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police,” said Congressman Meehan. “I’ve spent decades working with the law enforcement community here in Southeast Pennsylvania and I’m always impressed with the professionalism and dedication of the officers and detectives I encounter. We all owe our police officers a debt of gratitude for the work they do to keep our communities safe.”
